Giuseppe Marano (b. 1983) is an Italian photographer whose photographic research explores the relationship between people, memory, and the places they inhabit, with particular attention to landscape, traces of human presence, and the passage of time.
Rooted in a Mediterranean sensibility, his work has developed through an ongoing investigation of the ways in which people relate to their surroundings and shape the places they inhabit. His approach is quiet and observational, often moving between personal experience, landscape, and everyday life.
Since beginning his photographic practice in the early 2000s, Marano has developed a number of long-term personal projects alongside his professional work. His photographs have been exhibited and published internationally, and his work has received recognition from institutions and publications including the Urbanautica Institute, Kolga Photo Festival, and Rangefinder.
